I use my blog to post my favorite film shots usually, but digital is all had time for this time, shooting the paddle boat. and how could i not do a post on my new favorite band?
Jackson called me on tuesday night to shoot them on wednesday, and they needed the pictures on thursday asap for their feature in city beat next week. I really wanted to shoot them outdoors, but with short notice, my friend Paul Burlingame let me use his studio space to shoot the guys. We had a lot of fun. we drank beer, listened to Bob Dylan, and got crazy.
in return for shooting their pictures they gave me a gem of an album, an inspiring creation called "i wonder if the water ever tires of the sea." it's incredible. i got it on thursday and it is now friday..(well saturday 2:17 am, but it still feels like friday) and i have honestly listened to the album about 10 times through...
they are playing their 12" release show this thursday night (Dec. 10th) at sushi art in san diego on 11th and J st at 7:30 pm. listen here: www.myspace.com/thepaddleboat
don't miss them!!
